Green in Everyday Life

Insider Access in pleased to announce that it is now part of a new innovative EU project funded by Erasmus+.

The aims of the GIEL project (Green in Everyday Life) are to raise awareness of sustainability issues and to engage non traditional learners into understanding their impact on the environment and how to reduce their ecological foot print.

The project builds on work previously undertaken in Spain where a series of environmental audits were developed alongside a cycle of workshops for families.

The GIEL project in England is being delivered by Insider Access over the next 12 months in communities across the Thames Valley, East of England and in Prison.

In addition to training around saving water and energy, sustainable mobility and responsible consumption, participants will be receive an eco savings kit, containing tools for reduction of their eco footprint.

Rising household bills, together with fuel poverty are key issues in England, and the GIEL project looks to pilot innovative approaches that can be mainstreamed by other organisations across the UK.
